The Canopy Adventure is a thrilling journey over the tree tops!
Located on the skirts of the Barva Volcano, the Canopy Adventure of San José de la Montaña has more than 700 forest hectares, of which 350 are of primary forest that you will discover. It is all just 45 minutes away from San Jose! This adventure consists of eleven platforms, ten of them located on oak trees that are 200 and 400 years old. They are originals of this cloud and rain forest. The eleventh platform is on a cypress tree, which is very common in this area. Feel one with nature as you slide down from each platform.
During the tour you will also walk through the hollow trunk of a Ficus tree. These trails will conduct you through the different platforms while you will enjoy the surrounding forest.

The tour begins with a visit to La Sabana Metropolitan Park, the heart of the capital city, then heads to the residential area of Rohmoser and continues on to Sabana Sur. Here, a delicious typical lunch will be served. The tour continues along the Paseo Colón on the way to the National Theatre.
After a guided visit to this architectural masterpiece, we will take a short walk over the Plaza de la Cultura to visit the Gold Museum. We’ll continue through the Central Avenue Boulevard to the Plaza de la Democracia to visit the National Museum. The walk will continue on the Boulevard Circuito Judicial and on to the Supreme Court of Justice. Here we will board the bus to continue our city sightseeing, taking a close look at the Casa Amarilla, The National Park, The National Library, The Electoral Supreme Court, and the old neighbourhoods of San Jose (Amón – Otoya & Toumón).
Before we head back to the hotel, we will stop to have a cup of coffee at the tourist center, “El Pueblo”, where you will find over 60 different bars and restaurants, and 4 different discos that focus on the nightlife of San José. You will have the opportunity to stay at El Pueblo or return to the hotel. If you decide to stay at El Pueblo, you will receive special discounts at the galleries, bars and restaurants, and the tour bus will return to pick you up two hours later.

In this excursion you have the opportunity to be in one of the most popular rivers for this sport, the Pacuare River.
The Pacuare River, is one of the five most important rivers of the world by its landscapes and fast rapids. In this tropical river the trip is pure magic. Located in the Caribbean of Costa Rica, the Pacuare River confines the Mountain of Talamanca, the home to the native Indians of Cabecar and an immense variety of flora and fauna.
Once in the river you will go 16 miles on the Heart of the rain forest, observing cascades, birds and diversity of Flora.

Imagine following the journey of a coffee bean from the plantation - to the processing plant to a cup of gourmet coffee. When you take the Coffee Tour at Café Britt you’ll do exactly that! Their professional acting troupe, dressed in traditional garb, will escort you through an interactive multi-media tour through the history of coffee. On their finca, as the plantation is called in Spanish, your day starts on six-acres of coffee fields, tropical gardens and coffee processing facilities.
We’ll teach you all about coffee cultivation - and not just by giving you the facts - feel free to pick a few ripe cherries to taste their sweetness or take a few of the dried beans home to grow a plant of your own! From the fields, we’ll take you into our roasting and packaging facilities where you’ll soak in the aroma of roasting coffee and learn all about this magical process that turns a red coffee cherry into a delicious cup of java.
Then, in our theater, sit back and watch a multi-media play and presentation of coffee’s place in world history. Learn about how deeply coffee culture is woven into the history and people of Costa Rica - and be prepared to have a few good laughs while you’re at it. Although incredibly knowledgeable, our troupe has a rather short serious threshold!
