Your tour begins with pick up from your hotel. Youll see many beautiful cultural places along the way to the Lima Historical Center on the old side of the city and the capital of the Peruvian viceroyalty. During the course of our tour, well enjoy views of the Monuments to the Heros (El Paseo de los Hroes), the Palace of Justice (El Palacio de Justicia) and the Historical Square of San Martn.

Then well continue on to the Main Square, surrounded by Presidential and Municipal Palaces, the Cathedral and the Archbishop Palace. At the Cathedral, youll see the tomb of Spanish Conqueror Francisco Pizarro. Then well walk along the Historical Center to visit the Central Post Office, Church of Santo Domingo - a place where well see the tombs of the two major saints of the colony (Santa Rosa de Lima and San Martn de Porres), the old Desamparados Train Station, and the Church of San Francisco. Well also stop at Park of the Wall to view the old wall surrounding colonial Lima.

Next, well take a sightseeing tour around the city to see the Torre Tagle Palace, the Pak Universitario, and the Old House of San Marcos University - the oldest university in America. Our next stop will be the residential district of San Isidro, where the pre-Inca shrine of "Huaca Huallamarca" and to Miraflores to view its beautiful shrine as well. At "Huaca Pucllana," theres an exclusive first-class restaurant, just inside this archaeological complex.

Our final stop will be a ride to the "Kiss Park" (Parque del Beso), built in a peculiar Gaud where well enjoy a beautiful view of Lima Bay. In Barranco, a bohemian Lima neighborhood, well see the so-called Bridge of Breadths (Puente de los Suspiros) before returning you to your hotel.

TOUR HIGHLIGHTS

This is a day filled with wonderful and unique experiences! Leave in a private car to Paracas to visit the Ballestas Islands and the enigmatic Nazca Lines. At Paracas, you will have a time to watch sea lions and birds in their natural nestling habitat. Afterwards, continue to Ica to board a small aircraft and fly over the Nazca Lines. Lunch is included.

TOUR HIGHLIGHTS

Macchu Picchu was completed in approximately 1450 in the height of the Incan empire only to be abandoned less than 100 years later following the Spanish conquest of Peru and is today considered by many to be the new spiritual center of the world.

After a short drive to the Cusco railway station, we’ll take the Vistadome Orient Express coach or the backpackers train (according to your selection) to Aguas Calientes station. From there, a mini bus will take us to the ruins of the Sacred City, "Machu Picchu."

The Vistadome option is a comfortable way to journey to Machu Picchu. Renovated carriages have beautiful panoramic windows to make the most of the spectacular scenery and allow for fantastic photographic opportunities. Delicious snacks and hot and cold refreshments are served on the way.

The Backpacker option was created for adventurous passengers seeking comfort and security without the extra frills. The seats have been reupholstered with indigenous fabrics, giving a touch of local flavor. Snacks are available, as well as additional storage space for backpacks.

Learn from our expert guides as you walk the main streets of these amazing ruins, stroll through town squares and climb its delicately carved stone stairways. Esoteric wisdom holds Machu Picchu as the new spiritual center of the world. You’ll have time to be by yourself to fully embrace this magnificent wonder of the world, letting this once in a lifetime experience set in. Hiking the ruins is sure to work up an appetite so we’ll have a buffet lunch waiting for you. After lunch, you’ll return to the train station in the afternoon for the trip back to Cusco.
